Omni Chanel Administration / Office Support ‘Transport Coordinator’

Trak Employment Solutions are looking for an office / admin assistant to join a small transport team in Swindon, Our client is ideally looking for someone who has worked in a similar field as this would be advantageous but not essential. The right person will be pro active and have a positive structured approach to there work load.

This position is initially a contract position on a part time basis with the opportunity to turn permanent for the right person.


This will involve the following.


  • organising activities and completing regular work tasks
  • producing reports
  • providing information relating to performance
  • other activities that support the transport team


Responsibilities and tasks


This is a general list and may vary depending on customer, season and any specific circumstances


  • Checking and confirming a variety of activity
  • all vehicles departed on time the previously evening
  • Check that vehicles are scheduled for collections for today or next working day
  • Make sure manifests have been sent
  • Ensure shipment and transport actions have been undertaken with SLA
  • Produce reports from the forecasts for the next 5 days, 5 weeks and 5 months
  • Produce activity and performance reports
  • Send out activity/performance reports to stakeholders including customers
  • Contribute to the production of any weekly KPI/MBR or QBR packs
  • Communicate any changes to carrier’s schedule temporary/permanent
  • Other administration task as required

Education and experience


  • Basic education with office related skills
  • Service sector related in a fast-moving business
  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
  • Worked in a role with multiple stakeholders
  • Understand, speak and write competently in English
  • Been part of a small team
